The Reaching a New Energy Sciences Workforce (RENEW) initiative supports traineeships for students and postdoctoral researchers from non-R1 emerging research institutions and non-R1 minority serving institutions in areas relevant to SC programs. UC MRPI Request for Proposals for Award Year 2025 Now Available
| Please Circulate Widely Dear Colleagues, UC Research Initiatives in the UC Office of the President is pleased to issue the UC Multicampus Research Programs and Initiatives Request for Proposals for award year 2025. This Request for Proposals includes opportunities for both Planning/Pilot Awards and Program Awards. Applicant Information: The MRPI opportunity is open to UC faculty and researchers in any field of research and scholarship. Proposals require collaboration among at least three UC campuses to pursue pioneering research in thematic, multidisciplinary, or inter-disciplinary areas that enhance the UC research enterprise, strengthen UC’s position as a leading public research university, and benefit California and its people. We anticipate approximately $16 million in total funding available across all awards. All proposals must conform to the requirements of this RFP, dated March 20, 2024, and be submitted through the SmartSimple online system. The Request for Proposals provides important information on eligibility, LOI and application requirements, and review and selection criteria. Fusion Energy Public-Private Consortium Framework
The Office of Science (SC) in the Department of Energy (DOE) invites interested parties to provide input on a proposed fusion energy public-private consortium framework (PPCF).
